The documentary tells the story, evolution and transformation of clubbing in Milan. “Clubbing” is an English term that can be translated as “going to clubs”. In reality there is a much deeper and more cultural meaning in the Anglo-Saxon meaning of the term. Clubs, discos and electronic music are a privileged point of view for reading society and its changes: artistic, social, cultural, political, of customs. In particular, a city like Milan, which has always been a crucial place in the Italian and world panorama, if viewed and narrated from the point of view of the Night, offers an interesting perspective on the changes in the country: from the 70s to the brilliant 80s, from the confused years of the ‘ 90 until the sudden change of the last decade. In Milan, music, fashion, art, against culture, television, and the anomalous and special characters that orbit these worlds often find themselves converging precisely in the “free port” of the disco, a place of suspension of judgment and where trends are anticipated, also social. The documentary tells all this with a strong, profound and pop narrative at the same time, and with the testimonies of DJs, promoters, owners of clubs, evening organizers, “excellent” clubbers and historical protagonists of the Milanese night, from the 70s to today, and with an eye also to the future.
